Cobden, Ill. (WSIL) – Cobden Jr./Sr. High School is mourning the loss of one of their high school students, who recently passed away. In a statement, the school announced that counselors and support staff will be available on Saturday, February 1st, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the high school library for anyone who needs assistance during this difficult time.
As a result of the tragedy, the scheduled basketball game and Hall of Fame event on Saturday have been cancelled. The school has emphasized that they are here to support the community in any way possible during this time of grief.
