Four people from Menomonie, Wisconsin, tragically lost their lives in a small engine plane crash outside the Coles County Memorial Airport in Illinois on Sunday morning. The Federal Aviation Administration reported that the crash occurred at around 10:15 a.m. in a field near the airport, about an hour and a half southeast of Springfield. Unfortunately, no one survived the incident, and the victims have been identified as two men and two women, although their ages and identities remain undisclosed.
The National Transportation Safety Board is currently leading the investigation into the cause of the crash. The details surrounding the departure location and destination of the plane are also unclear at this time.
