Joliet police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 69-year-old woman, Mary Anne Smith, who was last seen leaving her home on Friday afternoon. Smith, described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds, with glasses and medium-length gray hair, was last seen wearing a purple coat and jeans. Surveillance footage captured her walking in the 8600 block of Foxborough Way. Police conducted a search of the area using drones and K9s, and shared her description with residents through a reverse 911 call. A Silver Alert has been issued for Smith in conjunction with the Illinois State Police. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact 911 or 815-726-2491. The Joliet Police are working diligently to locate Smith and ensure her safe return to her family.
