Lock Haven University is set to host the 21st annual Kent’s Fest celebration on April 11th, 2025. The event, organized by the Department of Exceptionality Programs and Council for Exceptional Children student group, will take place at the East Campus Gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Out of This World,” with classrooms and organizations creating unique performances set to music that fits the theme.
Kent’s Fest aims to provide a musical talent show for children and adults with exceptional needs from Clinton, Centre, and Lycoming counties. In 2024, over 480 participants took part in the event, which attracted more than 550 community members. The event is free and open to the public, thanks in part to a $6,000 grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available through the Lock Haven University Foundation.
Those interested in supporting Kent’s Fest can make monetary donations through the Lock Haven University Foundation’s website, designating their contribution to “Recreation for Exceptional Citizens.” For more information on the event or sponsorship opportunities, individuals can contact Dr. Erica Jones at 570-484-2430.
