The University of Jamestown Men’s Volleyball team faced continued struggles on Saturday with losses to fifth-ranked Cornerstone University and Governors State. The defeats extended the Jimmies’ losing streak to eight matches. Against Cornerstone, Jamestown was outplayed with a 36-30 disadvantage in kills and a hitting percentage of .438 to .141. Ernest Broaster led the Golden Eagles with 11 kills. In the match against Governors State, Jamestown again fell short with a 34-24 deficit in kills and a hitting percentage of .364 to .014. Daniel Lopez was a standout for the Jaguars with 12 kills. Tomasz Swiderski and Tysen Myers had eight kills each for Jamestown. Despite the setbacks, the Jimmies will look to turn things around as they travel to Arizona to face Park University Gilbert in their next match. The team will aim to bounce back and break their losing streak in the upcoming games.
