Illinois men, Kimonte Cadge and Genio Keller, have been charged for an alleged assault and high-speed chase on the Iron Range. Cadge faces charges including robbery and assault, while Keller faces similar charges except for fleeing police. The incident occurred at a gas station where a victim was found injured and bleeding from his head. The victim reported being assaulted with a wooden handle by the two men over money owed to them. Cadge and Keller were located by authorities driving a Chevrolet Malibu with California license plates and led authorities on a high-speed chase. They were eventually arrested after fleeing on foot. DNA samples and evidence collected at the scene are being analyzed by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Both men are facing up to 20 years in prison and are currently held at the St. Louis County Jail with no bail set. Cadge, previously convicted of a firearm charge related to a murder, was discharged from probation last month. The case is ongoing, with Cadge and Keller having their first court appearance recently.
