After a successful high school career, Lewis joined Louisiana Tech and made an immediate impact, becoming the second-leading scorer as a freshman. Despite an injury-shortened first season, Lewis bounced back in her sophomore year, helping the Lady Techsters reach the national championship game.

In her junior season, Lewis played a crucial role in Tech’s national title win, and in her senior year, she averaged a double-double, leading the team to another Final Four appearance.
