Fordham Women’s Tennis Team Secures Victory Over Illinois State in Home Match
In their first home match of the spring season, the Fordham women’s tennis team emerged victorious over Illinois State University with a score of 4-0. The match took place at the Cary Leeds Center in Bronx, N.Y., where the Rams started off strong by winning the doubles point.
Julianne Nguyen and Nevena Kolarevic secured a win at first doubles, while Lorraine Bergmann and Lily Chitambar clinched the point for the Rams at the second position. The team then went on to win all three completed singles matches in straight sets, with Nguyen, Paola Ueno Dalmonico, and Catalina Padilla Udaeta contributing to the victory.
With this impressive win, the Fordham women’s tennis team continues to showcase their talent and determination on the court. Their next match is against Boston College on February 9th at the Weymouth Club in Weymouth, Mass.
