The director of GSA’s Technology Transformation Services, Thomas Shedd, believes technology is key to achieving the administration’s goals of automation and efficiency in the federal government. With a smaller workforce, there will be a greater demand for technical services to enable government programs to continue running smoothly.
Shedd also emphasized the need to reduce the number of contractors in GSA and the federal government. While acknowledging the somber mood among TTS staff facing decisions about their employment, Shedd praised the team for their work with TSA PreCheck transitioning to Login.gov.
