At Millennium Park, a 53-foot Colorado Blue Spruce, donated by a Logan Square family, became the centerpiece of a jubilant gathering, glowing brightly as fireworks lit up the night sky.
The ceremony commenced at 6 p.m., attracting holiday revelers who filled the park early in the day, ice skating and soaking in the cheerful atmosphere.
