On the other hand, Florida State was seen as a loser for their underwhelming performance and resetting expectations to around eight wins rather than ten or more. DJ Uiagalelei’s cautious play style may not be enough for FSU to win another ACC title, raising concerns about the team’s potential moving forward.
Nevada and New Mexico were also labeled as losers for their respective losses in Week 0. Nevada showed progress but missed an opportunity to pull off an upset against SMU, which could impact their season outcome. New Mexico, under new coach Bronco Mendenhall, collapsed in the fourth quarter against Montana State, losing a game they were on track to win. Despite the setbacks, both teams have the potential to bounce back and improve as the season progresses.
