The United States continued their dominance in track and field at the Paris Games, winning their 14th gold medal in the women’s 4×400-metre relay with an Olympic record time of 3:15.27. The team, led by stars such as Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Gabby Thomas, showcased the country’s depth and talent.

In the men’s 4×400-metre relay final, the USA narrowly edged out Botswana to win gold, with Rai Benjamin running a strong final leg to secure the victory in an Olympic record time of 2:54.43. Great Britain took the bronze in a European record time of 2:55.83.

In the field events, New Zealand’s Hamish Kerr won gold in the men’s high jump after a dramatic jump-off with American Shelby McEwen. American Masai Russell produced a stunning performance in the women’s 100-metre hurdles, winning the gold in a close race that saw her edge out France’s Cyrena Samba-Mayela and Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.

Overall, the United States continued to showcase their track and field dominance at the Paris Games, adding to their impressive medal haul with strong performances across different events.
