Junior Bosila Banya, a prominent breakdancer with a disability, was chosen as an Olympic torchbearer, highlighting the potential for inclusivity in the sport. The International Paralympic Committee has previously seen breakdancing in their competition through athletes like Russian Maksim Sedakov. Despite calls for adaptation to accommodate athletes with disabilities, the IPC has not responded to inquiries about the decision to exclude breakdancing from the Paralympics.
