New Fire Chief Sworn in at Mt. Vernon


After serving with the Mt. Vernon Fire Department for 22 years, Chris Yenne has been appointed as the new Fire Chief of the City of Mt. Vernon. Yenne started his career with the department in 2002 as a firefighter and has since worked his way up the ranks, holding positions such as Lieutenant and Captain before being named Assistant Fire Chief in 2023.

Yenne was sworn in on Monday, officially taking over the role of Fire Chief and stepping into a leadership position within the department. With his years of experience and dedication to the Mt.
