Neal Canon, a longtime resident of Salem, Illinois, passed away at the age of 76 on July 26, 2024, at his home. He was a devoted father to his sons Tim and Matthew, as well as a loving grandfather to four grandchildren. Neal was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Betty, but is survived by his sister Susan Canon Reiman, niece Natalie Reiman, and several cousins.
For many years, Neal worked at World Color Press in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, where he made lasting friendships and contributions to the printing industry. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Salem and was known for his passion for gospel music.
A private burial for Neal will be held at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Greenville, Illinois, on Saturday, August 3, 2024. The family is being assisted with arrangements by Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, where online condolences can be shared at www.CrouseFH.com.
Neal Canon will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his faith, and his career. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the love and memories he shared with those he touched in his lifetime.
