A shooting incident occurred on Monday morning on the Bishop Ford Expressway on Chicago’s South Side, according to Illinois State Police. The incident took place around 5:14 a.m. on I-94 at Michigan Avenue near the Rosemoor neighborhood. The victim, who was driving northbound on the expressway, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. State police have not disclosed any details surrounding the shooting and it is currently unclear if anyone has been apprehended in connection with the incident. As a result of the shooting, the northbound Bishop Ford was closed at the Dan Ryan interchange, with traffic being redirected onto southbound I-57.
