A 30-year-old man accused of raping a woman in Miami Beach has been identified as a sexual predator in Illinois who failed to register, according to police. Keith Hill, also known as Eric Lavaly, was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse at the age of 21 and has a history of failing to maintain accurate registration records. Hill was arrested in Hollywood and is facing charges in Broward County for giving false identification to law enforcement, failing to register as a sex offender, and not complying with registration requirements. He also has a Miami-Dade County hold for sexual battery and kidnapping.
Hill was identified by a police officer in Hollywood Beach who recognized him from a flyer distributed by the Miami Beach Police Department after a woman reported being raped while rollerblading. Hill is currently being held at the Broward Sheriff’s Office main jail in Fort Lauderdale.
