The first half of the Prospect League Baseball season wrapped up over the weekend, with four division winners automatically qualifying for the playoffs at the end of the 2024 regular season. Three Illinois teams – the Thrillville Thrillbillies, Danville Dans, and Illinois Valley – along with a team from Ohio, Chillicothe, clinched division titles in June. The Alton River Dragons finished the first half of the season with a record of 13-13 and are set to kick off their July schedule with a game against REX Baseball in Terre Haute, IN.
This week, the Alton River Dragons have a full schedule ahead of them: Tuesday will see them playing in Terre Haute, IN, Wednesday and Thursday they will be playing at home against O’Fallon (MO), Friday they will be on the road against Normal (IL), and Saturday they will be back at home against Cape Catfish (MO).
