The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced additional restrictions for drivers on I-69 in Allen County. Starting on or after July 8, the eastbound Illinois Road ramp to northbound I-69 will be closed for about one week, with the right lane of the interstate also closed for concrete patching. During the closure, drivers can take southbound I-69 to the U.S. 24 exit and re-enter I-69 heading north, or choose an alternate route. All work is weather-dependent and schedules may change.INDOT’s announcement follows a temporary closure of the northbound I-69 Lima Road exit.INDOT’s efforts are part of ongoing maintenance and improvements along the I-69/Illinois Road interchange.INDOT advises drivers to plan ahead and follow posted detour routes to avoid delays.
