Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx was allegedly assaulted near her home in Chicago over the weekend, court records revealed. The suspect, 34-year-old William Swetz, is charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle and aggravated battery in a public place after allegedly shouting an insult at Foxx, almost hitting her with his vehicle, and throwing a drink at her, hitting her in the face.
Swetz was arrested but has since been released, and Foxx did not suffer any injuries during the incident.
