An unnamed woman has filed a lawsuit against Grammy-winning DJ and music producer Diplo, accusing him of distributing revenge pornography. The accuser, referred to as Jane Doe, alleges that she engaged in a sexual relationship with Diplo and exchanged intimate images with him until 2023. She claims that Diplo shared sexual videos of her without her consent between 2018 and 2023, leading her to report him to the New York Police Department for disseminating intimate images.
Diplo’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, issued a statement denying the allegations, stating that the DJ has been targeted by untrustworthy individuals seeking a meritless payday. This lawsuit is not the first time Diplo has faced legal action related to sexual misconduct. Previous accusations including a woman in Nevada who accused him of forcing her to perform oral sex, and another woman named Shelly Auguste who filed for a restraining order, accused him of sexual battery and assault, and accused him of revenge porn.
Jane Doe seeking damages, compensation, and a jury trial to hold Diplo accountable for his actions and prevent further harm to herself and other women. Her attorney, Helene M. Weiss, hopes that this litigation will bring justice and end the defendant’s repeated victimization of women.
Diplo has denied previous misconduct accusations and has been involved in ongoing legal battles with Auguste, including restraining orders, lawsuits, and arbitration proceedings. Despite the denials, the accusations against Diplo continue to mount, highlighting a troubling pattern of behavior that Jane Doe and others hope to bring to light through legal action.
